Someone made a page about your product. Here is exactly what that means and what you can do about it.
Why your page exists
Every company here has a page whether or not anyone from the company has ever visited. That is deliberate: a directory where only companies that engaged appear is a directory that fails the person searching for you.
The page contains what members of the public wrote, plus counts from our own database. We do not write anything about your company, rate it, or grade it.
What claiming gets you
- Reply publicly to a suggestion, attributed to you.
- Set a status — under review, planned, in progress, done — which is shown to everyone following that request.
- Be notified when something crosses a threshold of support.
What claiming does not get you
This is the part worth reading twice, because it is the whole basis of the site being worth anything to your customers.
- You cannot delete a suggestion. Not one about you, not one you disagree with, not one that is embarrassing.
- You cannot hide one or push it down a list.
- You cannot change a vote count or see who voted.
- You cannot buy any of the above. There is no price. These are enforced in the database, not by policy — a claimed account has no permission to do them.
What you can do is change a status and reply. A status change is recorded in a public history that shows what it used to be.
Claiming, today
Self-serve claiming is not built yet — this is a new site and that is being worked on. In the meantime, email support@suggestion-box.appfrom an address at your company's domain, saying which company page you want to claim. Verification is that the address matches the company's domain.
If you would rather just answer one suggestion without claiming anything, send the URL and your reply to the same address and it will be posted attributed to your company, with a link to whatever you cite.
A suggestion box on your own site
Once your page is claimed you can put one script tag on your own website and your customers can post without leaving it. Their suggestion lands on your page here, where other people can back it — so a single complaint becomes a number instead of a support ticket nobody else sees.
It runs in an isolated frame: it cannot read your page, and your styles cannot break it. You choose exactly which of your websites may use it, which is what stops anybody else putting your suggestion box on theirs.
Something here is unlawful
Genuinely unlawful is different from unflattering, and the route for it is legal@suggestion-box.app with the exact URL and the specific words at issue. See the notices page.
Content that names one of your employees as an individual breaks our own guidelines and is screened for before it is ever published. If one gets through, report it on the post — that is faster than email.
